All,
A vote for Reaper from me as well!
I haven't yet used it in anger to record anything significant but, having set it up on my newly reconfigured DAW in place of Cubase 4, I would note the following:
- the author seems to provide updates almost every day (at worst once a week) which is good from a bug-fix point of view but mildly annoying in terms of keeping up with the changes (although you don't have to install every incremental version!)
- it seems to work nicely with my array of software VSTi and effects/processors and I'll be interested to see how well the REAmote application works (similar to FXTeleport for cross-LAN sharing of computer resources)
Looks good so far
